CoinGecko was founded in 2014 by TM Lee (CEO) and Bobby Ong (COO) with the mission to democratize the access of crypto data and empower users with actionable insights. How does coingecko work?

Rather than just track and measure coins and tokens by market cap or exchanges by trading volume, CoinGecko tracks other key factors as well. These include a project’s code progress and open source code development, community growth, and other major events that impact its value.

How do I List A cryptocurrency on coingecko?

To be listed on CoinGecko, a cryptocurrency must first be tradable on a cryptocurrency exchange tracked by CoinGecko. For the full list of exchanges tracked by CoinGecko, visit our Exchange page. There is NO LISTING FEE for coins/tokens listings on CoinGecko.

What is coingecko's plan?

CoinGecko's plan is to find a good representation where Proof of Reserves can be applied to the exchange's Trust Score, so that only exchanges that have attempted to prove solvency will score well.
